Editing Content inline

Inline editing can be the easiest way to edit content.

After you have logged in click the Website Home Page menu option.

This will open your home page in a new window.

As you are logged in you will see administration navigator buttons appear next to every piece of content displayed on the page.



These navigation buttons allow you to edit content quickly without having to search around the Content Manager for the specific piece of content.

When clicking some of these buttons a new window will open which has been given the name of 'editor'

So every time you click one of these the same window will be used for editing every time.

You can then switch back and forth between editing and viewing using your ALT TAB (Windows) or CMD TAB (Mac) keys.

- Adds new content - Opens in 'editor' window.
- Edit this piece of content in the 'editor' window.
- Edit this piece of content in the eCommerce Product Manager within the 'editor' window.
- This edits the content inline, on the viewing page you are currently viewing, so content text will appear inside editor fields and an 'update content' submit button allows content to be saved and updated. Currently the inline editor is very basic, as more clients use this we will work on it to make it more functional.
